Possibility to instrument API calls with Micrometer or OpenTelemetry #1964
If you're using the OpenTelemetry Java Agent, the HttpURLConnection used by the Stripe client should be auto-instrumented and you should be able to at least see the low-level request/response pairs to the Stripe API.
Other than that, you have to implement your own com.stripe.net.HttpClient and instrument that manually (or use an instrumented low-level HTTP client) for the time being as you apparently did.

I've been looking into the same thing recently.
