Is there any way to work with Star Thermal Printers on Expo? Maybe using expo-native-modules? It's a huge frustration.

At the moment, only CLI support is available, and official support for Expo has not yet been implemented. However, if you don’t mind, we would like to use your feedback to help improve the product. Could you share any details about the challenges you're facing or the background of your situation? For example, have you tried testing it yourself, or are there specific aspects you find particularly difficult? Any feedback you can provide would be valuable for us.

I tried to use this package on Expo, it is giving "star printer Cannot read property 'init' of null]", it shouldn't be hard to implement this package for Expo since Expo is getting more and more popular in mobile app development. Is there anyway that I can work with Star printers in Expo. My clients has more than 100 printers and they are all STAR brand.

When I personally checked around December last year, I was able to carry out printing for Android using the following steps.

This is the result of an experiment to see if the sample project for CLI provided by our company could work on Expo. (At this point, our SDK does not officially support Expo, so functionality is not guaranteed.)

Steps to Create an Expo Project
1. Create a project

npx create-expo-app example_expo
cd example_expo

• Create the project using the --template blank option.

2. Replace App.js with App.tsx

3. Edit package.json

• Manually add the necessary dependencies to dependencies and devDependencies.
• Add the image file to the following path: <project_name>/android/app/src/main/res/drawable/logo_01.png

4. Prebuild

yarn install
npx expo prebuild

5. Build and Install
For Android
npx expo run:android
** Change minSdkVersion in android/build.gradle to 28 or higher.
** Refer to readme for other necessary changes.

For iOS (*I have not verified this step yet)
npx expo run:ios

** If an error occurs, open ios/app_name.xcworkspace and address the issue.
** If the connection does not work properly, use the QR code to connect.

Does the build and printing work successfully? Or is it that the status cannot be retrieved?

Since React Native has complex dependencies and is highly affected by the environment, it is difficult to determine whether the issue is simply due to Expo not working properly or if there is no problem when using the CLI officially supported by our company.
If possible, we would appreciate it if you could fill out a bug report so that we can better understand your environment.

I am really new to mobile development overall, not only Expo, but for me the sample from react-native-star-io10/example
/App.tsx doesn't work in my Expo project as well

getting EXC_BAD_ACCESS on these lines

STARIO10StarXpandCommandPrinterBuilder *printerBuilder =[[STARIO10StarXpandCommandPrinterBuilder alloc] init ];
printerBuilder = [printerBuilder actionPrintImage:parameter];

not sure what my options are
would try it with plain react native project
