Connecting to 'localhost' not possible

Using the v2020.0 version, trying to connect to a local running SFTP server (Rebex 1.9.1) I can't connect using the host 'localhost'; which results in the exception 'host actively refused connection', but when I connect using '127.0.1.1', everything works fine.

Now FileZilla connects fine to the local SFTP server using 'localhost', so I would conclude it's an issue with the SSH.NET client library; anyone has an idea why this problem occurs?

Is your local SFTP bound to both IPv4 and IPv6 ?
I suppose FileZilla uses the IPv4 loopback adress and SSH.NET uses the IPv6 address, or vise versa, and your SFTP server only binds to IPv4 or IPv6 (not both).

Using the Rebex (Buru) SFTP server locally, but it's only binding to IPv4 at the moment (any address).

There was a change in 2024.1.0 (#1412) that might have fixed this
