Issue-1
Install cortex 1.25.26
Grant permission, extract base, grant storage permission
Run "apt update && apt upgrade -y"
Install opencode by "curl -fsSL https://opencode.ai/v2/install | bash"
Try to open by opencode-it won't open
Now close terminal
Then open again now again try to run opencode - it will work
Now again close terminal
Then open it again
Now try to run opencode - now it won't work no matter how many times u open/close terminal
Issue-2
Now try to clear data
Now open cortex again
Grant notification permission
Now base system extraction is running infinitly
Thanks for the detailed steps - both parts are addressed in v1.26.27.
Issue 1 (opencode works after one restart, then never again) - found the cause in the code: on every app start the shell setup removed the string /home/.opencode/bin: from ~/.bashrc. The opencode installer writes the absolute path (.../files/cortex/home/.opencode/bin), which ends with exactly that string, so the line was silently cut to export PATH=.../files/cortex$PATH. That lines up with "works after the first restart, fails after the second". Fixed: ~/.bashrc / ~/.profile are no longer rewritten at all, and lines already broken this way are repaired automatically. A second bug could also delete a real opencode binary during startup cleanup; that is fixed too. In addition, changes an installer makes to ~/.bashrc are now picked up at the next prompt, so opencode (and nvm, bun, ...) work right after installing, without restarting the terminal.
Issue 2 (endless "Extracting base system...") - I could not reproduce this without the device, but found two ways to get stuck: an error inside the extraction thread skipped dismissing the modal dialog, and a re-created activity could start a second extraction on top of the first. Extraction is now single-flight and the dialog is always dismissed.
I could not test on a phone, so please try 1.26.27 and tell me if either one still happens. If the extraction hangs again, the first error lines of adb logcat -s MainActivity BootstrapManager would help a lot.
I fixed all my self
opencode issue solved
extraction issue solved
most of the package works now even they are not using glibc
only some binaries needs to call ptrace
apk reduce to ~5mb
I removed in build ubuntu base
testing with other distro is remaining but they will work as far as they
use same glibc.
