# Training levels
Student Robotics currently has 2 recognised levels of safeguarding training:
* Basic training
* Advanced training

# Basic training
## Who is this for
The basic level of training is required for everyone who volunteers at any level with Student Robotics.
## What's required
* Reading the [safeguarding policy](about-the-charity/safeguarding/safeguarding.md)
* Complete a basic safeguarding training programme. Currently accepted programme include;
* NYA Basic Introduction to Safeguarding for Volunteer Youth Workers
* Any approved courses for Advanced training
* Complete the validation for this training
## Frequency
This training should be completed at least once every 3 years.<br/>
For committee members, this must also be re-validated upon any significant changes to the safeguarding policy. In this situation it is not necessary to retake the training programme to re-validate.
## Validation
Once the required steps have been completed, this should be confirmed by completing the [Safeguarding Training Completion form](https://forms.gle/KPT7ymJVDrEgsWhP8). If for any reason this is not possible, confirmation of having done so should be e-mailed to the Safeguarding Lead, including the following details;
* Name and e-mail address

* Date of course completion
* Proof of course completion
