How to export to Prince XML?

I have the 64-bit edition of Prince XML ver. 16.1 installed on Windows 11 (in the standard c:\Program Files\Prince folder). When I want to export a preview of a Markdown document to PDF (Prince), a small message is displayed in the bottom right corner telling me that there must be princexml.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Um, is there something about Material for MkDocs in your question? If there is then please provide more information. Otherwise you will likely have more luck on the Prince Forum.

This is a relatively simple Markdown document. I was convinced this was some kind of problem with the plugin. Your question drew my attention to a slightly different aspect. I have included a small graph in this document in the mermeid standard.

I have found that exporting to PDF via Prince works correctly, unless the document contains a graph. I should have checked this earlier. Since this VSC extension supports graphics of this type, I thought it might be able to export them too.
