Hi there! My name is Jacob Alzén and I am a Computer Science and Engineering student from Sweden. I have multiple years of experience in various programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and C++ to name a few. My knowledge of operating systems includes Linux, FreeBSD, macOS and Windows.

Join me in my efforts for building reliable and secure open-source software that everyone can enjoy. Your contribution will help pave the way for me spending more time on my projects and keeping the infrastructure running. Most importantly, it will allow for me to distribute signed binaries to app stores on both desktop and mobile.

Current projects

• Part of the core team of the fyne-io/fyne GUI toolkit. Working on improving the codebase and upstream bug fixes and new features where possible.
• Rymdport: A cross-platform application for easy encrypted file, folder, and text sharing between devices.

Previous work

• Sparta: A private and secure platform for saving and keeping track of exercises and other sport activities. Built in Go using the Fyne toolkit, AES-256 encryption and Argon2 password hashing.
• Package maintainer for the Solus Linux distribution.
• Community moderator and translator for the Brave web browser. I helped translate the entire browser to Swedish and worked as a moderator in the community forums.
