getpubkeys raised a TypeError (derive_pubkeys() argument after * must be an iterable, not NoneType) for an address not in the wallet, and imported wallets silently returned [] even for invalid input. Use the same checks and messages as getprivatekeys, and strip whitespace like it does.

This uses the same checks and messages as
getprivatekeys(Invalid bitcoin address: ...,Address not in wallet: ...) and strips whitespace like it does.
