Controller Bit Incompatible with 2nd Gen Microbit

Attempting to use our new V2 Microbits with the Controller Bit and we are getting error 927:

"The program is incompatible with the micro:bit version you are using. You are trying to use a feature designed for micro:bit V2 on a micro:bit V1 or an extension that is only compatible with a micro:bit V1 board on a micro:bit V2."

From my understanding of the changes between V1 and V2, this might just be a software issue. Might need to submit a new version using the newer libraries for V2?

We are using these in an educational setting and worried the dozens of Controller Bits just become extinct. Would love a fix.
