Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'size')

Dear @darrachequesne, I think there's an issue somehow when you try to check the room size on apply method.
if (rooms.size) {...}
exception thrown is Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'size')
while the room exists in the adapter and the size is 1.

Kindly advise.
