Otherwise, someone can try to pass in "current position", which can be ~noise below the min_el. The scan el is clamped into the allowed range.

The fix to #744 was tested on SATP1.
The fix to #745 was not tested, but it didn't cause a syntax error and new behavior won't be worse than the current co-rotator behavior... and it might just work.
