Detector geometry distortion from diffraction data #2747

Description

For large detectors, manufacturing grids with a µm precision is pretty challenging. Jon's method looks simpler to use from an experimental point of view if:

  • Enough calibration images were taken with different position for the beam-center (ideally in all corners)
  • Rings are thin and isotropic (not spotty)
  • The density of ring is such that any module has at least one ring on any calibration image.
  • Diffraction angle is small enough to neglect parallax effect
