0. **Verifiers** should fork [this](https://github.com/sigstore/root-signing) git repository by clicking the "fork" button on GitHub. Then, clone the repo, and set your `${GITHUB_USER}` with your GitHub username:

The first three bits seem unnecessary to me, everyone has their own setup, no?

yeah, i think you're right. i suppose it's just an example, i think starting with the clone makes the most sense

That's still there!

This PR should only be adding instructions to clone and how to verify at HEAD
