GitHub Desktop cannot verify the identity of api.github.com #1288
Description
The problem
The error keeps popping up every now and then after connecting to the VPN (Sophos). The issue is not seen on Windows machines upon connecting the VPN. The issue is not limited to shiftkey version because it was seen in prior releases too

3.4.13 Linux RC1
Operating system
Ubuntu 22.04
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Connect to the VPN and open the application
- The pop-up keeps coming up on the screen every 5-10 seconds (Image below)
- Disconnect the VPN - Popup is no longer seen

Additional context
The same firewall SSL inspection certificate has been imported on both Windows and Ubuntu systems. The issue is occurring consistently across all Ubuntu machines, while Windows systems are functioning normally
