Improving the performance of search

I’ve recently noticed that searches in bat’s pager mode tend to run perceptibly slower than those in less for the same file. Just putting it here as an item one may look into in the future.

Thanks for the pointer! Looks like it's almost certainly due to the added overhead of syntax highlighting.

Roadmap and a prototype for an internal pager are in #1053.

Hopefully ripgrep could be used for search once a custom pager from #1053 is implemented, so options and syntax are familiar (rg is also used by VSCode). Nonblocking search is needed too IMO, a loading bar is much preferred over freezing scrolling (pretty painful using Delta with objdumped binaries)
