Problem Statement

This dashboard helps a company understand their products,customers and sales better. It helps the company to understand which products are doing better, which customers have provided more sales and they get to know their improvement area, & thus they can improve their products by identifying these area.

Steps followed

Sales Dashboard:

• Step 1 : Loaded data into Power BI Desktop, dataset is in csv files. These data are from the Microsoft AdventureWorks Sample database
• Step 2 : SQL queries used to obtain these csvs are provided.
• Step 3 : Directly loaded this data as it is already formatted the way we needed, using SQL.
• Step 4 : Created few measures like Budget Amount,Sales/Budget.
• Step 8 : Visual filters (Slicers) were added for four fields named "Customer City", "Sub Category", "Category" & "Product Name".
• Step 9 : A donut chart was added to the report design area representing theSales by Product Category.
• Step 10 : Two bar charts were also added to the report design area for Sales By Customer and Sales by Product.
• Step 11 : A Line chart was added to show sales and budget on monthly basis.
• Step 12 :Then a map was added to show which geographical area has a dense number of customers.
