[bug] Massive delay and rubberbanding with orbiscreen on Oneplus6t phone

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start Orbiscreen
2. Plug in Oneplus 6t phone running Orbiscreen(installed through latest apk from github releases)
3. Connect to pc through usb

Expected Behaviour

Smooth zero to no latency display with no stuttering over usb connection

Actual Behaviour

Occasionally is relatively smooth but has what appears to be at minimum 100-300ms delay, especially seen when dragging windows around or moving mouse, but most of the time its even worse with 5-10 second delay along with rubberbanding of the image.

Definitely a lot better after the 0.25.3 update, sometimes when it lags i can fix it by unplugging and replugging my usb cable, but other than that its a lot smoother. still has delay though to some extent

Its been about 30 minutes since I last started it up and now its slowing down again and starting to rubberband, it appears to get fixed(at least temporarily) by unplugging and replugging the usb again and reconnecting. Maybe there is some kind of stray data collecting somewhere that gets reset by reconnecting

Thanks for the video @MolagBals, it helped a lot.

The freezes from v0.25.2 are fixed, but the 30-minute lag you hit is just clock drift. I locked the speed to 1.0x in v0.25.3 to stop rubberbanding, so small timing gaps between the PC and phone slowly build up until frames drop. Replugging the USB clears that buffer, which explains why it resets.

I'm working on a fix now to make the player catch up automatically when it falls behind and to keep the USB buffer smaller.

I'll let you know once I build and push the new version for testing.

The rubberbanding issue seems to have gotten worse in version 0.25.5 and i couldnt get it to smooth out even when unplugging and replugging the cable.

Thanks for the video @MolagBals.

The rubber-banding happened because of two things I tweaked in v0.25.5: raising drop limit to 150ms and adding that 1.02x speed boost. Over USB, it just made player hold onto late frames and bounce back and forth.

I reverted both back to v0.25.3 values (30ms limit, locked 1.0x).

Building v0.25.7 now to push the fix.

Performance seems to be pretty solid in v0.25.8, much better compared to v0.25.7. There is still a delay before inputs are registered, but there is no rubberbanding like before so far, and it functions great for simple uses like a system monitor
