The information on the website is redundant with other places. We should have only one central place to maintain a list of the members of the different teams.
A short term solution could be a config file in the governance repo.
Medium term, we could look into an operations repo that automatically syncs the team memberships to github / zulip etc.
Oh, an we could also fetch avatars and affiliations from github instead of manually maintaining them.

Completely agree on the need for this. Could you let me know which places you feel information to be redundant?

At least
zulip core team channel
github teams
website
google admin console
notion
I imagine zulip, github, and website would be relatively straightforward to synchronize programmatically. Not so sure about google and notion. A LDAP service + sso would be nice, but that usually only comes with enterprise plans.
Kind of related: Did anything happen towards a ReadTheDocs org? Because that’s actually an ongoing issue and it trivially syncs with GitHub teams.
Not that I'm aware. I think it still costs money. But in a ballpark that we can afford and maybe we can ask for a discount. We should probably go for it.

I think when we do that, we should also assign people the right core dev roles. This can then be reused for filtering and other things

I think it's mostly this point actually:

Yeah. SSO would of course be ideal as it automates that, but I think a bunch of services only offer SSO support for premium.

We'd probably want the custom domains though. I thin 150$ a month is a bit much for a little bit of convenience.

They’re not charging theislab as far as I know.
