Question - possibility of using typescript?

I have not actually got my hands dirty with SparkleXrm - yet, but just glanced at the technologies used - and when I saw "scriptsharp" - I immediately thought - would it be possible to use typescript instead - or is scriptsharp too baked in to the architecture?

In theory you could use Typescript against the SparkleXrm libraries - I prefer to use ScriptSharp because the Dynamics CRM javascript is also written using ScriptSharp.

One of the coming matters, which I think will need to be considered, is the recently announced partnership between Angular v2 and TypeScript--wherein the former gets written in the latter. Frameworks that support TypeScript can leverage Bootstrap, jQuery, Kendo, Angular, and a myriad of universally popular (and niche) frameworks. What we should do, Scott, you and I, is go through SparkleXrm and put together a TypeScript definition file for your components.

use typescript all the time.

I think a good first step would be to convert a sample into TypeScript. - perhaps https://github.com/scottdurow/SparkleXrm/blob/master/SparkleXrmSource/Client/InlineSubGrids/Views/SimpleEditableGridView.cs

This would also be a good opportunity to create a Visual Studio Template as well.

The precipitous hurdle is typing a significant portion of Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, since ScriptSharp allows you to effectively transliterate the type implementations between .Net and JS. The advantage is having a strongly objectified API output in JS to examine for TypeScript definitions. The disadvantage is the volume of the aforementioned output.
