Hi,
I am using EEGLAB 2024.0 on MATLAB R2024a (Windows) and I noticed that scalp maps appear reversed (inverted polarity) for some components when viewing clusters in pop_clustedit after running PCA clustering.
Is there a built-in way to align component polarities to the cluster mean, either in pop_preclust or pop_clustedit? The "Absolute values" option in pop_preclust helps for clustering but does not fix the display polarity.
To reproduce the issue:
- Create a STUDY with multiple subjects and conditions
- Precompute measures (ERPs + scalp maps)
- Run pre-clustering (pop_preclust) using ERPs and scalp maps
- Cluster components
- Open cluster editor (pop_clustedit) and inspect scalp maps
Thank you!
