Keycloak User Group Based Password Policy

This is and extension for Keycloak

Features

With this unofficial Keycloak extension is possible to create a separate Password Policy per Realm group. The extension is based on logic from the extension keycloak-group-password-policy

The extension creates a new type of Password Policy.

Setup

Installation

Keycloak v.11.x

Download keycloak-user-group-based-password-policy-1.0.0.jar from Releases page (or from jar directory). Then deploy it into $KEYCLOAK_HOME/standalone/deployments/ directory.

Keycloak v.12.x to v.13.x

Download keycloak-user-group-based-password-policy-2.0.0.jar from Releases page (or from jar directory). Then deploy it into $KEYCLOAK_HOME/standalone/deployments/ directory.

Keycloak v.14.x to v.18.x

Download keycloak-user-group-based-password-policy-3.0.0.jar from Releases page (or from jar directory). Then deploy it into $KEYCLOAK_HOME/standalone/deployments/ directory.

Keycloak v.19.x to up

Download keycloak-user-group-based-password-policy-4.0.0.jar from Releases page (or from jar directory). Then deploy it into $KEYCLOAK_HOME/standalone/deployments/ directory.

Creating a new Password policy with type Group Based Policy

Create new Realm Group

Realm Group (For the Group Based Password Policy) attributes

For Developers

Build

The extension can be compiled by the following command:

mvn clean install

Afterwards, there is a sub-directory called target with the archive file keycloak-user-group-based-password-policy-X.X.X.jar.

In a development setup you may build and deploy the extension using the alternative command:

mvn clean install wildfly:deploy
