App for UK shore Observations. See the app here. Read the post here.
- Built w/ Python & Streamlit, run via:
streamlit run app.py - Used the & Streamlit Docs & DataCamp tutorial to guide me through building. (previous experience w/ RShiny also helped!)
- Curated data from the OBIS API tool.
My Statement of data use in the App:
This App uses marine biodiversity occurrence records accessed through the OBIS API tool. OBIS (Ocean Biodiversity Information System) is a global biodiversity data platform of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO.
Each observation originates from a source dataset, and each dataset has its own license. This App filters observations based on recognised Creative Commons, retaining those such as CC-BY-4.0, CC0, and other variants supported by the filtering criteria, such as licenses that restrict commercial use.
