Better documentation for APIs

[GTP95]

In the API file where you provide documentation for your library's methods you don't specify the type of the input parameters to pass to the various calls, could you please specify them? It would be useful.

A PR would be happily accepted. If nothing else a list of APIs that need updating would be extremely helpful.
