Open Cryptography Public Feedback

Welcome to the public feedback repository for the Open Cryptography project. We value your input and appreciate you taking the time to help us improve this resource for the security community.

This repository is the central place to track suggestions, bug reports, and data corrections for opencryptography.com.

💬 How to submit feedback

We use GitHub Issues to manage all feedback for this project.

If you've found a bug, a data inaccuracy, have a feature request, or have a suggestion, please Open an Issue.

Alternatively, you may contact us via email.

How to provide your feedback

To help us triage and respond to your feedback efficiently, please let us know which user group you fall into:

For consumers of an artifact

We encourage members of a security team, developers, researchers or related security professionals to submit feedback on the accuracy and context of Open Cryptography findings.

Please open an issue to:

  • Dispute a false positive: Provide technical context on why a finding is not a risk for a specific use case.
  • Correct a data inaccuracy: Report incorrect version numbers, severity scores, or other metadata.
  • Ask a question about our findings: Ask for clarification on a specific finding.

To ensure a timely response, all submissions must include the full artifact name, version, and the specific finding in question.

For project maintainers of an artifact

If you are an open-source author, project contributor, or other project maintainer, we welcome your expert context on the artifact(s) you manage. We prioritize this feedback to ensure our analysis is fair and accurate.

Please open an issue to:

  • Dispute a finding: Provide technical evidence if you believe a finding is incorrect.
  • Confirm a resolution: Inform us if you have resolved a finding in a new version so we can rescan the artifact.
  • Improve remediation advice: Suggest remediation instructions for your specific project.

When submitting, please identify the project you maintain so our team can expedite the review.
