  • Change titles so that images are amazonlinux2000-2023 and amazonlinux2000-2023-arm64 (keep out minor version)
    • Amazon Linux 2023 (and upcoming OS major versions, such as Amazon Linux 2025) release minor versions at a quarterly cadence. CI/CD will be pinned to a major version instead of to a major.minor setup.
    • Amazon Linux 2000 series are quite different from Amazon Linux 1 and 2, so we are using a separate directory similar to CentOS vs. CentOS Stream:
  • Updates Amazon Linux 2 to use Kernel 5.10
    • From Amazon Linux 2 Kernel 5.10 Announcement:

We recommend you use Amazon Linux 2 with kernel 5.10 when launching new instances to benefit from new features and performance improvements. Previous version of the kernel (4.14) will continue to be supported until the end of life date for Amazon Linux 2 (06/2023).
