getting com.myjavaworld.ftp.FTPException: Protocol not supported.

When I try to set the SSL usage to explicit I get the following error:

com.myjavaworld.ftp.FTPException: Protocol not supported.

Is this error coming from the ftp server or it is an issue with my JVM?
