Cannot get url from bookmark, "The folder is stale."

Thank you in advance for your support.

Since upgrading to macOS Tahoe 26.0.1, I’ve encountered an issue with RectLabel — it can no longer open datasets located on an external hard drive. The error message says: “Cannot get URL from bookmark. The folder is stale.”

I’ve already enabled Full Disk Access for RectLabel in the macOS settings, but the issue persists. As a temporary workaround, I’m copying the dataset to my local disk.

Would appreciate any advice or fix for this problem.

Thanks for writing the issue.
We checked using an external device, put images and annotations folders on the device, and open from RectLabel.
It works.
If we disconnect the external device, when launch RectLabel, an error message is shown, "File does not exist".
If we connect the external device again, RectLabel opens correctly.

"The folder is stale" is shown when we change the folder name.
Did you change the external device name?
