I am a senior at Utah State University majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Mechanical Engineering. My journey in the Computer Science field began at Weber State University, where I earned an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies concurrently with my high school diploma from Fremont High School. Currently, I work as a Cybersecurity Technician at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Previously, I pursued a web development internship at RR Donnelly. At these roles I have applied my knowledge in practical scenarios and gained invaluable industry experience. Additionally I am working on two research projects for the Huntsman School of Business at USU.
My childhood fascination with computers and Legos shaped my career path. To me, Computer Science is like constructing intricate models with adult Legos, where every piece (or line of code) must be meticulously placed. The bugs and challenges I encounter remind me of the stubborn stickers in a Lego set; difficult to get right, but incredibly satisfying when everything aligns perfectly.
Over my academic and personal projects, I've honed skills in several programming languages including C++, JavaScript, and Python with a additional interest in web technologies such as React, Node.js, and Flask.
I am deeply interested in the intersection of technology and society, particularly how data analytics and software development can be leveraged to solve real-world problems. My career aspiration is to work at the forefront of software development, creating innovative solutions that make a positive impact.
In my free time, I explore new technologies, work on personal coding projects, and continue to build and buy too many Lego sets. I believe in continuous learning and I am so excited to continue my education.
