Hi Ryan,
I am willing to help to build an android version of the game. Let me know your thoughts.

I'm focusing more on the web app first before providing an API for other devices. However I will certainly need help in the future with an Android version since I don't know how to develop on that platform. I will update this ticket when it gets closer to that time. Thanks!

Hi Ryan,
I've actually been building an Android App front end that I want to be able to connect to an online go service. I would like to make the App a turn-based game like - http://www.online-go.com/ - players can wait a couple days to make a move. Rather than build the online service myself, I could perhaps build on your work.

I'm actually really a Ruby/Rails developer, so perhaps I could help build the APIs. I have a lot of experience implementing REST-ful APIs for my employers' Rails App. Let me know.

@neomantic, thanks for the offer to help. An API is something I really want to add to Go vs Go but haven't had much time. I'm open for discussing some implementation possibilities here. One option is to use the current REST controllers to handle this, another is to use a separate nested API controller set. I've heard pros and cons of both approaches. Feel free to fork and experiment and let me know your ideas here.

@neomantic @ryanb Any progress with this API? There still appears to be no web/iOS/Android solution for playing turn-based Go. This potential's just killin' me. :)

@kevincoleman Hi Kevin. Sorry. I never got to it. :( (Writing the Android App itself nearly killed me...java...ugh). I never managed to release it, even though it's 95% done. Someone released a Android App for http://www.online-go.com/, if you want to play there. It's okay...nothing great. I play that sometimes.

Oh no! I've been searching for an online go app that works well on
both iOS and Android (I'm on iOS). Thanks for the suggestion. I'll
check it out.
