The following code (playground) crashes rustc on latest nightly 1.23.0-nightly (2be4cc040 2017-11-01):

fn main() {
  ::std::ptr::read_volatile(0 as _);
}

Current stable and beta doesn't crash.

What I see:

   Compiling playground v0.0.1 (file:///playground)
error: internal compiler error: unexpected panic

note: the compiler unexpectedly panicked. this is a bug.
