Maybe it should only report the first 10 and last 10 on each line in this manner. It's hard to follow ASCII art lines across multiple screenfuls anyway.

I prefer the "garbage out" to be closer to linear, but my reason is esoteric (I'm trying to speed up fuzzing the compiler), and this is quite fast despite being quadratic. So if this gets closed as wontfix, I won't be too upset.
