[feat] Add gitstore branch configuration

Hi,

Thanks the maintaining this great tool for community.
Regarding gitstore strategy, I think adding branch configuration would be helpful to avoid creating/managing multiple repo just for cli configuration.

Below PR was closed due to the fact that history rewritten was intentional, but allow branch configuration is a good add IMO.
