Right now mapping or navigation is modal based on commands executed on the netbook. We should add an affordance in the Android UI to put the robot into map creation mode at any time. This would prompt the user to either drive the robot around or go into explorer mode on its own.

Some sort of timer or max coverage area indicator would let the user know when the system is reaching a reliable limit and automatically end the mapping if the user doesn't interrupt before then. All maps should be saved automatically immediately upon completion but also prompt the user to provide a name for the new map.
