If I call TomSelect.clearOptions() on a select without children, I get this error on the client:
TypeError: this.tomSelectJs_1.input.clear is not a function. (In 'this.tomSelectJs_1.input.clear()', 'this.tomSelectJs_1.input.clear' is undefined)
The exception is not thrown if I first check for the children with:
if (getChildren().isNotEmpty()) clearOptions()
