Add mechanism to connect to APIs

Some objects could receive their info (e.g. datasets, cross section values, etc) directly from an external API (e.g. (for CMS) DAS, XSDB).

There should be a mechanism for loading infos from APIs and storing them either in an accompanying json/yaml file, or directly injecting them into the object definition.
