Initalization is delayed and time taken to launch tests with .git enabled

**Describe the bug
When the project is enabled with, the execution metadata tries to capture the branch and processes in it delay the initial start time

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create a git project
2. clone and install this repo
3. launch pytest
4. notice the day compare to non git project repos

Expected behavior
Time taken must be similar to that of non git projects
