Technical Interview Process

Overview

This repository contains the materials for your upcoming technical interview. Please review it thoroughly before your scheduled interview time.

Preparation

• Clone this repository to your local machine
• Review the code in your preferred language (Java, Python, or TypeScript)
• Install the required tools listed in the project's README.md
• Be ready to share your screen during the interview
• Confirm that the docker build commands work on your machine before the interview

Interview Format

The interview will be conducted via video call with your camera enabled. The session will be recorded for internal review purposes only and deleted after a hiring decision is made.

What to Expect

The 60-minute interview will follow this structure:

1. Introductions (2 minutes)
2. Coding Exercise (15 minutes)
   • Implement a basic feature in your chosen language
3. Build Improvement (15 minutes)
   • Make improvements to the project's build system
4. Architecture Discussion (10 minutes)
   • Discuss next steps, implementation approaches, and tradeoffs
5. Personal Project (8 minutes)
   • Share a project you're proud of and your contributions
6. Challenge Discussion (8 minutes)
   • Describe a significant technical challenge you've overcome
7. Wrap-up (2 minutes)

Guidelines

• Search engines and your preferred IDE are permitted
• AI coding assistants are not allowed during the interview
• Come prepared with questions about the role or company
