+## What is an Astro Pi?
+
+An Astro Pi is a Raspberry Pi computer encased by a housing specially designed for conditions in space. It also has an add-on board called the Sense HAT, made specifically for the Astro Pi mission. The Sense HAT has a joystick, an LED display, and sensors for recording temperature, humidity, pressure, and orientation.
+
+Here is a real Astro Pi unit on the International Space Station, running some code written by students. +The Astro Pi's LEDs can also display colours. You can specify a colour by creating a variable and assigning it an RGB colour value.

+You can display pictures on the Astro Pi's LED matrix. Perhaps your greeting for the astronauts could include a picture or a pattern, as well as or instead of a written message?

+At the bottom of your program, create some colour variables to define the colours with which you want to to draw your picture. You can use as many colours as you like, but in this example we'll stick to only two — white (`w`) and black (`b`).

+## Measure the humidity
+
+The humidity sensor in the Astro Pi can measure the humidity in the air around it, a useful feature to help you gather data about the conditions in space.
+

+
+Part of your mission is to contribute to the daily lives of the crew aboard the ISS, so letting them know that the humidity aboard the space station is within a normal range will reassure them.

+This line will measure the current humidity, and store the measured value in the variable `humid`.

In the example we have rounded to one decimal place, but for a different level of precision, change the number `1` to the number of decimal places you would like to see.

+The real Astro Pi will measure the humidity around it, but you can move the humidity slider on the Sense HAT emulator to simulate humidity changes and test your code.

+**Note:** You might be wondering why the humidity slider displays the humidity as a whole number, but the reading you get is a decimal. The emulator simulates the slight inaccuracy of the real sensor, so the humidity measurement you see may be very slightly larger or smaller than the value you've set with the slider.
