Can't literally run that because it does not expect the R package to be below repo root folder

Making this PR was a bit unintentional and/or premature. My initial intent was to play around in a branch in my own fork. Furthermore, I ended up needing to work on
mainin my fork to get various GitHub Actions and Pages matters straightened out. So the code in this PR is incomplete and just represents the start of my journey.However, I'll take this chance to report that I have had initial success in
