Latest release seems to have started ignoring new_device=FALSE.
I've not had an issue with previous versions.

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. A graphics window is opening each time I run evaluate on the latest evaluate package and R. For example: evaluate::evaluate(" a <- 2",stop_on_error=0,new_device=FALSE) I am using R 4.4.2. On the same PC, old versions of R and evaluate do not do this. Many thanks for your help, Adrian

Hmmmm, this is fine when I run it in positron or in a reprex:

dev.list()
#> quartz_off_screen

evaluate::evaluate(
  " a <- 2",
  stop_on_error = 0,
  new_device = FALSE
)
#> <evaluation>

dev.list()

But when I run it in a raw R terminal the first dev.list() returns NULL and evaluate does indeed open a new graphics device.
