direct link to Qiita study confuses first-time user

Good morning,

My PI received this email from another researcher:

... So I tried to download the data to take a further look.
I was using the link you provided in the paper:
https://qiita.ucsd.edu/study/description/1629
But the data seems not there anymore. The link will redirect me to the home page of QIITA.
I am wondering if you could tell me where the data was moved to?

I understand that qiita wants me to log in, but this new user thought the study had been moved. Maybe we could make a publicly visible description page? Issue #1385 also covers a UX issue for non-logged in users.

Also, feel free to update issue title.

I got this comment along the same lines: "The production editor for our Atacama manuscript says that the Qiita link does not work for our Atacama sequences (see below)." From (see below) "The link you provided to the Qiita website, https://qiita.microbiome.me, does not work. Did you mean to list https://qiita.ucsd.edu/? If not, please provide a valid URL. Do you have the URL for the study ID 10360?"

I think it will be nice to view public studies in Qiita and provide a study URL for this purpose.

@ackermag Just a small correction on your message. Qiita's official link is http://qiita.microbio.me, not https://qiita.microbio.me (Note that the s disappears at the end of http) or https://qiita.ucsd.edu.

With the s at the end of http will not work, and this is a limitation from UCSD.
