@rick-wheeler, thanks for reporting. The issue doesn't occur on my Windows 10 system using QGIS 3.34.11 (OSGeo4W) and running the algorithm with e.g. 300 .laz input layers. Please provide the full processing algorithm's log and parameters and all the needed steps and details in order the make the issue occur. |

Unfortunately, no log is written, a dialog box appears with the message Incorrect parameter for value LAYERS.
I tested with the command line:
pdal_wrench.exe build_vpc --output=all_copc.vpc --input-file-list=input.txt --overview
And it works fine.
There seems to be an issue in the GUI compiling a list of files from the Directory selected and parsing and passing that to the pdal_wrench build_vpc command?

@rick-wheeler, does the issue only occur in your system when a directory is selected? Have you tried if the issue occurs also using a new QGIS user profile without any external third-party plugin installed? What happens if you put the files in a folder with a shorter path? May you provide a screen recording of the steps followed that lead to the issue? |

Thanks for your time on this.
Same error if I select all the files (319) with the select files option as well same error no log.
Note that I can select subsets of any of these files but somewhere after 250ish it fails.
The path looks like this:
D:\projects\terraNova\lasFiles\TerraNova\LAS\copc
File names are like this:
723_5365_Terra_Nova_ALLHITS_CGVD28.copc.laz
I attached the complete list of files in case you see an issue there.
I did try renaming all file to a short name as well.

The Issue occurs if a directory is selected or if the files individually.
I have not tried a new profile but I can try a new machine later.
I did try shorter file names.

Incorrect parameter value for parameter LAYERS
Steps to reproduce the issue
Add more than 250 files and the tool fails, experimented with various amounts and somewhere around 250 the tool fails.
