@russcam I think this is no longer necessary since grpc/grpc-dotnet#2220 - this was done specifically to make stuff a bit easier for .NET Framework users of gRPC. BTW that's why we target net462 specifically alongside netstandard2.0.

Yep, this made it into 2.59.0 - we can upgrade to that and everything should just work.
