I have noticed that the Quantum Console vs code extension is not receiving any further update after v2 api update.

it is using old api version, and asking unneccessary values in configure file.

I would like to contribute to the issue, and to the cli, I want to add job submission support to cli.

@kittupriyatham The v2-compatible Quantum Console extension is now published on the VS Code marketplace under version 0.5.0: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=qBraid.quantum-console

I think we can definitely add jobs submission to the CLI. Unfortunately the qBraid-CLI is closed source, so cannot accept outside contributions. But we do have a number of open-source projects you can contribute to including the qBraid-SDK, qBraid-QIR, qBraid-Algorithms, and PyQASM.

the v2 api is api-v2 right? but it is pointing to api-staging also using cloud key in configuration file, which is not required for v2 api as per docs.

That's weird I'm not sure why the staging url is configured.

But you can use the qbraid-cli and update it to the correct url using:

qbraid configure set url https://api-v2.qbraid.com/api/v1

It should work after that.

But I will look into why the staging url is added instead.

The cloud keyword isn't needed but won't hurt anything.

Just updating the qbraidrc file that is the configuration file isn't working. I had to update extension.js, and also all 3 index.js files in dist. In vs code extensions. I had made the changes in my side and currently it is working until next update.

And also, there is definitely no way to submit jobs via cli. No submit option in jobs in cli.

Yeah, you would need to update the VS code extension to the latest version and udpate the qbraidrc, like you did. Glad you got it working!

You are correct that the qbraid-cli does not have a jobs submit option. I've opened a ticket for this and we can try to add it in the next release.

I meant editing the extension.js file after installing latest version, along with index.js files.
