I reorganized the semantics part so that we don't start with the complete algorithm, but rather build familiarity with the features incrementally through examples, and with reasons for why things need to be this way.

I removed the algorithm completely. If we want to talk about it, I think that should be in the "reference implementation" section, rather than semantics.
