Hello PyPI team,
I'm trying to publish a package named "redist" (a package for reinterpretation of particle physics results) but the upload fails with this error:
The name 'redist' isn't allowed. See https://pypi.org/help/#project-name for more information.
I understand some names are reserved or blocked, but I’d appreciate clarification on why "redist" is restricted.
Is there any way to request an exception or get approval to use this name?
