How to see all spans in the zoom time window easily

Question

Whenever I zoom in logfire frontend, only a small portion of spans is selected for view and need to keep smashing Load older items button to see everything.

I.e. on the screenshow above, the timeline between two vertical dashed lines is very narrow - while I want to see everything.
Am I missing some obvious way how to achieve it in the UI?

You're talking about making some ~30k spans visible at once. Not only is that a performance issue for both our backend and your browser, it's too much for a human to scroll through manually. The intended workflow is to narrow things down with a SQL search:

If you've narrowed things down using "Filter local data" instead and aren't actually seeing that many spans on screen, then loading a bigger time window and browsing through them manually might seem logical, but that isn't how that dropdown is actually meant to be used.

What's no visible in that screenshot is that I have my spans in hierarchical structure. So it might be a total of 30k spans, but only 10 or so exist on the top level. See here:

So I should be feasible to load those top level ones, without eagerly loading everything that they contain.

My use case is - I have handful of long running HPC jobs, and it would be nice to be able to quickly drill into them
