To set the progress bar completion at some specified value, with the current progress bar API you would need to first read the current completion and then perform a for loop calling items_completed() N times.

It would be nice to have a progress bar methods to:

  • set the progress at some specific point.
  • advance/retract progress by N steps

This PR proposes a solution
