No default drive was used, no errors were thrown. If this value is required, there should be explicit errors.

Better handling on configuration default values.

Passing empty values would bypass default config enforcement. Now, empty
values or values that are only whitespace, will be treated as a blank
response and the default value will be used.

This addresses #138
